Low vitamin D can be fatal

A study has shown that people with low blood levels of vitamin D are at more risk of dying from any cause than those who boost their systems with supplements.
According to Dr Vacek, a professor of cardiology at the University of Kansas Hospital and Medical Centre, many people are vitamin D deficient because they don’t get enough full-body sun exposure.
It is worth your while to get your vitamin D levels checked, especially since many of us are so sun-conscious. But, if your levels are normal, supplementing will not make any difference.
