We often walk into a room and forget what we were looking for. Names of people and objects can disappear in an instant. The standard explanation for this kind of memory loss is information overload - or that you’re getting old.
But sometimes occasional, sudden memory lapse can point to a medical condition. There are many causes for short-term memory loss. It can be linked to your diet, your general well-being or medication.
If you are young and find yourself talking more and more about "thingamabobs" and "whatchamacallits", it’s worth your while to find out what you can do to minimise the effects.
